This wonderfully written short story “Felipai” hooked me with its original underwater fantasy world. Although a very quick read (only 28 pages) the story develops the characters and plot very well. The main protagonist Felipai is a merman prince whose kingdom is attacked. After nearly dying, Felipai is rescued by a pirate captain, Auriel.
